Introduction
IAmAttila is a legendary internet marketer that started in affiliate marketing in the 1990s without knowing he’s doing affiliate marketing.
Attila took a brief break pursuing his love for organizing dance events on the side that turned into a full time job for many years. Following his failure and losing everything he had saved up organizing dance festivals; he revisited the internet marketing world starting out with SEO.
After Google killed the golden days of SEO, he turned to paid traffic and never looked back, conquering verticals like CPI, Dating, Nutra, Lead Gen and Ecom.
Today he owns one of the most reliable outsourcing companies that provides A to Z services for affiliate marketers – BannersLanders; a translation company Transey, video creation service AdsBabe, and iAmAffiliate, the premium affiliate community where he helps people to succeed in the world of Affiliate Marketing.
I was a guest of Attila once in his house in Budapest where I had a chance to meet his family and have a look at his home office. He has, in fact, something like 6 monitors in front of him:). It looks like a spaceship. I was amazed by the warm welcome I had there. Attila is a super optimistic and friendly person who has his life 100% under control.
Always pleasure to speak even on this complicated matter.

Hey bro. Thanks for taking time for this interview.
So the biggest topic for today is COVID-19, no surprise. Probably you can help me understand how that impacts our industry.

Tell me first how your projects are doing? Business as usual?
The truth is, business isn’t as usual. All of our EU cash on delivery geos dropped off a cliff in the ecommerce world. This was expected as people are scared and holding onto the cash they have.
At my agency, we had two clients cancel without any notice, leaving the employees assigned full time to the clients hanging and waiting for me to step in to rescue their jobs so they have work and get paid during this who-knows-how-long crisis that’s upon us.
At my outsourcing companies; Banners&Landers, Transey, AdsBabe and Anglesaurus business is doing super well; the smart affiliates are taking advantage of lower CPM’s (50% cheaper on Facebook in fact) and ordering tons of custom advertorials and videos and testing a ton of products that fill some kind of need in current times.

So do you think that cash on delivery model offers are all down or this is applied only to EU GEOs?
I am not a fortune teller, but based on the COD European geos where most people don’t have credit cards and the way of business is cash on delivery or debit; they are def buying less.

What is your anti-crisis management?
I’m a proactive person, I am always stressing on something bad happening so thanks to my nature, I was ready for this shit storm. We have diverted resources into areas that are doing well right now.
What are the verticals that do better than ever before?
- Work At Home, BizOp
- Dating, VOD, Casino
- Games
- Products related to COVID-19
- App Installs (in grocery niche, in other deliveries)
And what are the ones that are struggling?
- Viral products
- Travel related stuff
- Hotel bookings
- ePaket is dead
Do you see any way the industry will be finally affected by the economic shock delivered by COVID?
A LOT of new people are going to join the affiliate world, making it even harder. Even though Grant Cardone is nowhere to be seen, his legacy lives on and the difficulty of being an affiliate will be 10x-ed because there’s going to be that much more people trying to rip n run the same shit!
Traffic is half price; maybe because brands stopped buying, or most people stopped advertising – or because it doesn’t convert as good as usual. Who knows. Click To TweetFB moderation is getting slower as far as I know. Anything else you noticed has already changed regarding FB or in general?
For me, still same old. I get the stuff approved pretty fast on trusted accounts. I actually notice no slow down at ALL on approvals.
Do you see competition in general will be getting intensified as more people would try to make money on-line?
Yes, as I stated above I expect competition to 10x itself.

What about biding? Is traffic getting more expensive already?
Traffic is half price; maybe because brands stopped buying, or most people stopped advertising – or because it doesn’t convert as good as usual. Who knows. But I am seeing $10-15 CPM’s on Facebook Purchase campaigns right now; usually it’s in the $20’s
What is that you stopped doing during this crisis?
Driving my son to school. Other than that, it’s pretty much the same for me; I’m an introvert and especially during winter I don’t like going anywhere and freezing my ass off – now that good weather is coming it’s going to suck that I can’t go to BBQ’s at friends houses and to chill with them.
Your advice to affiliates to spend this time with benefits?
Instead of wasting time watching Netflix, and chilling on the couch soaking in the media’s coronavirus panic broadcasts; I recommend focusing on developing your skills that will set you apart from competition.
Remember, we’re going to have way more affiliates than ever before thanks to this pandemic. They are all going to read my free guide on how to run sweeps or dating or some other vertical, and they are all going to do the same thing (well 99%). That is, rip and run the exact same landing page I showcase in the guide.
More new traffic sources doesn’t mean more new GOOD quality traffic sources. Click To TweetYou don’t want to be this person. Learn how to code, improve your skills in photoshop, start writing advertorials and marketing copy, and running field tests to see which one gets better CTRs.

More competition means more new traffic sources / affiliate networks / services and courses, so it’s going to be good for the industry or now necessarily?
More new traffic sources doesn’t mean more new GOOD quality traffic sources. FB, Google are still going to be king, followed by native, and then the rest like Push and Pop and what have you.

As a media personality have you seen any changes regarding your advertising contracts?
I am seeing more demand for promotions, now than ever as companies are recognizing that if their name is out there they will succeed in the long run.
At least the smart companies understand how now it’s all about long term gameplay, not quick cash grab – since the change is happening, a lot of people that were forced to work from home now realize, OH MY GOD it’s so damn awesome not to have to drive to work, be stuck in traffic, pay for parking, pay for gas, get up earlier, waste hours in my life just traveling to work and back each day!
Plus a lot of people out of work will be like, oh we need a tracker, oh we need a web host, oh we need design services, oh we need offers, so they will all seek CPA networks, saas tools, services and more for the explosion in internet marketing that’s coming.
Thank you Attila, it’s pleasure as always.
Everyone: stay healthy and wealthy.
Truly yours Roman
